預かるもの

メールアドレス、ニックネーム、アイコン画像、任意でご記入いただく一言紹介・居住エリア・3冊の自己紹介、および、あなたが投稿した本・感想メモ・読みたい本リスト・イベント・日程調整の回答・チャットです。本名はお預かりしません。Google・Apple・LINE・X のアカウントで登録・ログインした場合、メールアドレスはそのサービスから受け取ります。メールアドレスは、アカウントの識別と、下記「メールの送信」に記載の連絡にのみ使用します。

誰に見えるか

記入いただくものごとに、次のとおりです。

• ニックネーム、アイコン画像 — bookmates に登録している人なら、誰でも見られます。同じクラブに入る前から名前が出る場面（参加申請、招待の確認）があるためです。
• 一言紹介、居住エリア、3冊の自己紹介 — 同じブッククラブのメンバーだけが見られます。
• 読みたい本リスト — 既定では自分だけです。「メンバーに公開」を選ぶと、同じブッククラブのメンバーが本の一覧を見られます。
• 読みたい本に添えたメモ — 公開設定にかかわらず、いつでも自分だけです。
• 本への感想メモ — 自分だけです。「クラブに共有する」を選んだものだけ、同じクラブのメンバーが読めます。
• メールアドレス — そのブッククラブのオーナーだけが見られます。
• 参加しているブッククラブ — 公開クラブは名前が、非公開クラブは件数だけが見えます。非公開クラブの名前は誰にも出ません。

これは画面上で隠しているのではなく、データベース側で制限しています。

メールの送信

招待、登録の確認、パスワードの再設定、イベントの決定と前日の連絡、および投稿者が「全員にメールで通知」を選んだ投稿について、メールをお送りします。宣伝メールは送りません。

預け先

データは Supabase（データベースと認証）、Netlify（アプリの配信）、Resend（メールの送信）に保存・処理されます。本の検索と書影の取得には openBD、Google Books、Open Library、楽天ウェブサービスを利用します。これらに送るのは検索語や ISBN だけで、あなたが誰であるかは伝えません。

第三者への提供

上記の運営に必要な範囲を除き、あなたの情報を第三者に渡したり売ったりすることはありません。

削除

Profile ページからアカウントを削除すると、あなたの情報は削除されます。

Cookie など

ログイン状態を保つために、ブラウザの保存領域を使います。行動追跡や広告配信のための仕組み、アクセス解析のタグは置いていません。本のページの購入リンクはアフィリエイトリンクで、「広告」と表示しています。リンクを開いたあとのことは、各ストアのプライバシーポリシーによります。

What is kept

Your email address, nickname, icon, and — if you fill them in — a line about yourself, your area and three books, along with whatever you add: books, notes, want-to-read list, events, poll answers and chat. Your real name is not kept. Where you register or sign in with a Google, Apple, LINE or X account, your email address is received from that service. It is used only to identify your account and for the messages described under “Email” below.

Who can see it

Field by field:

• Nickname and icon — visible to anyone with a bookmates account. They have to be: a name appears before you are in a club together, on a request to join or on an invitation.
• Your line, your area, your three books — visible only to members of the book clubs you belong to.
• Want-to-read list — yours alone by default. Choosing “share with members” lets members of your clubs see the books.
• A note on a want-to-read book — yours alone, shared list or not.
• A note on a book — yours alone, unless you mark it as shared with the club.
• Email address — visible only to the owner of a club you are in.
• Which clubs you belong to — public ones by name, private ones as a count. The name of a private club is shown to nobody.

This is enforced in the database, not merely hidden on screen.

Email

Email is sent for invitations, sign-up confirmation, password resets, events being arranged and the day before they happen, and for posts whose writer chose to notify everyone. No marketing.

Where it is held

Data is stored and processed by Supabase (database and sign-in), Netlify (serving the app) and Resend (sending email). Books and their covers are looked up through openBD, Google Books, Open Library and Rakuten Web Service. Those lookups send a search term or an ISBN and nothing about who you are.

Sharing

Your information is not sold or passed to anyone beyond what running the service requires.

Deletion

Deleting your account from the Profile page removes your information.

Cookies

Browser storage is used to keep you signed in. There are no tracking scripts, no analytics tags and no ad network. The buying links on a book’s page are affiliate links and are marked as advertising; what happens once you follow one is covered by that shop’s own privacy policy.
